Green Talk 11/03/2010
Congratulations to the 2009-2010 Lakeshore Discovery Green Team. They were awarded Silver status by Eco Schools of Ontario. In May of last year, a team from Eco Schools Ontario, toured the school with student representatives, Sydney Galloway and Courtney Lefaive as well as Green Team leader Mme Byrne. Our student representatives show-cased for the Eco Schools members, all that Lakeshore has been doing to help the environment. The Eco Schools members were very impressed and we were awarded a silver medal. We also received $400.00 to use towards other greening projects at Lakeshore. This year, our 2010-2011 Green Team will be going for GOLD! Stay tuned for more details and how you, as a member of the Lakeshore community can help us to realize our goal.
